Reading Text
The red-eyed tree frog is a small amphibian that lives in the tropical forests of Central America. It has a bright green body and famous red eyes. These frogs are nocturnal, which means they are awake at night and sleep during the day. They sleep on the bottoms of leaves with their eyes closed to hide from predators. They use sticky toe pads to climb trees and can even sleep upside down! If a hungry animal finds them, the frog flashes its big red eyes and bright blue and yellow markings. This surprise gives the frog enough time to jump away and escape. With three eyelids on each eye and amazing colors, the red-eyed tree frog is truly a unique creature of the rainforest.
