10 - What is Fire?
Title
What is Fire?Reading Text
We see fire when we sit by a campfire. It feels hot and looks bright. It smells like smoke. But what is fire? Is it a solid like a rock? No. Is it a liquid like water? No. Is it a gas like air? No. Fire is different. Fire is a chemical reaction. This happens when fuel, like wood, gets very hot. The wood mixes with oxygen in the air. This makes heat and light. We see colors like yellow, orange, and blue. Gravity makes the flames go up in a special shape. When there is no more wood or oxygen, the fire stops.
