Title

A Great Day at the Lake

Reading Text

Today is a great day to play by the lake! Jay and Mae want to sail a small boat. They look up at the bright sky. The sun is high, and they smile. Jay says, 'Look at the waves! Let's wait for the wind.' They stay near the water and eat a sweet pie. Mae tries to fly her kite, but it falls. Then, they see a nice white bird fly by. They try to follow it, but it goes away. Jay finds a flat stone and makes it skip across the water. Mae likes to paint, so she takes out her paper. She wants to paint the gray sky and the bright lake. Late in the afternoon, the wind starts to blow. They sail their boat and cry with joy. They love this fine day by the lake.
